Privacy Policy

What happens to the information you send us through this website — in plain terms, describing what the site actually does.

Last updated 30 August 2026

What this covers

This policy explains what happens to information you give us through this website — the site assessment request form, and the customer portal if you have an account. It does not cover information you give us in person, over the phone, or in a signed service agreement; that is handled under the agreement itself.

What we collect when you request a site assessment

The request form asks for the following. Only the name, one contact method, a property type and at least one system of interest are required; the rest are optional and are stored only if you fill them in.

  • Your name
  • Your organization, if you give one
  • Your email address, your phone number, or both
  • The property type and location you are asking about
  • Which systems you are interested in
  • Anything you write in the message field

What we do with it

A request is stored in our database and a copy is emailed to our office so a technician can review it and get back to you. That is the whole purpose. We use it to respond to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, and to keep a record of what was asked for.

We do not sell it. We do not share it with anyone outside the service providers listed below, and we do not use it for advertising or hand it to data brokers or marketing lists.

Your IP address

When you submit the form, your IP address is used to count recent submissions and block flooding. It is held only as a counter for a ten-minute window and is never stored alongside your enquiry. We cannot look up who submitted a request by IP address, because that link is not kept.

Who else handles it

We use three service providers. Each only receives what it needs to do its job, and none of them are permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

  • Vercel — hosts this website, serves the pages you are reading, and provides the cookieless traffic and performance measurement described below.
  • Supabase — stores site assessment requests and customer portal accounts, in a database hosted in the United States.
  • Resend — delivers the notification email to our office.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and nothing here follows you to other websites. That is why you are not being asked to accept a cookie banner.

We do measure how the site performs — how many people visit, which pages they read, and how quickly pages load — using Vercel Analytics. It is cookieless: it records the visit, not the visitor, and does not build a profile of you or link your activity across sites.

The only cookie this site sets is the sign-in session cookie for the customer portal, and it is set only after you sign in. It exists so the portal knows it is still you between pages. Sign out and it is discarded.

Customer portal accounts

If you have a portal account, we store your name, your email address and an encrypted form of your password. We never see or store your password itself. Account holders can only ever see their own billing records; the database enforces that per row, not just in the interface.

We do not store card numbers, bank account numbers or card security codes anywhere on our systems.

How long we keep it

Site assessment requests are kept for as long as they are useful for quoting and servicing the property, and for as long as records must be kept for our own legal and insurance purposes. Records tied to life-safety work — inspections, testing and installation — are kept for the periods that fire and alarm regulation requires, which is often longer than you might expect and is not something we can shorten on request.

If you asked for a quote and nothing came of it, tell us and we will delete the enquiry.

Your choices

Write to us at the address below and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. There is no charge for this and you do not need to give a reason.

Asking us to delete an enquiry does not cancel a service agreement, and it does not remove records we are obliged to retain for life-safety compliance. We will tell you plainly if that applies to your request rather than quietly keeping the data.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to stored enquiries and portal data is restricted to our own systems and staff — the database refuses to hand a customer's records to anyone but that customer, and refuses to hand enquiry records to the public site at all.

No system is perfect, and we would rather say so than claim otherwise. If you believe information has been exposed, contact us and we will investigate.

Children

This site is meant for people arranging security and life-safety work on a property. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If what we do with your information changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top will tell you when. We will not quietly broaden what we do with information already collected.
